FAQs
What is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor?
This is a designation provided by American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) after you complete their intensive training that includes coursework, mentorship, supervision, and more. It takes anywhere from 18 months to five years to complete. Beyond the initial designation, we are required to take a 6-hour refresher course before applying for renewal(s). More information is located here: AAMFT Approved Supervision
What sets it apart from other supervision models?
AAMFT Approved Supervisors are committed to training and advancing the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. We also hold a special interest and specialty within systemic theory and therapy. Systemic-focused practitioners are required to complete your hours and become licensed; An AAMFT Approved Supervisor is strongly encouraged moving forward due to the caliber of care provided to trainees.
Will you work with my current employer?
Of course I will! I want to work collaboratively not only with my supervisees but anyone in their professional life (manager, supervisor, mentor, etc.) to help them settle into their best therapeutic self.
I am interested in hearing more!
Wonderful. Email me at annectoterollc@gmail.com to discuss further availability and fees. Fees I can work with especially if you are receiving supervision from other places of employment. At this time, I am not able to accommodate any other supervisees within my practice or academic settings.
