Glutton for Misery

By: Anne C. Totero | Author

Gluttonous with pity.

Taker of sorrow.

As an oil for wheels.

To reduce the grind of your own mind.

At the expense of others.

Sycophant.

Your misery.

Thinking to its aid,

yet it teleports to tomorrow.

You weaponize your greed.

Then devour for more.

A black hole pit of other's hard work.

Pit to cell where they are kept.

Until you decide its time to let them go.

People will leave sooner than that.
You won't get the chance.

Next victim.
